Applicants will be contacted only when a position need is identified, and qualifications match the needs of the position. **OVERVIEW OF POSITION / DEPARTMENTThe Licensing Division enforces and administers the city’s licensing codes and works to ensure that the City’s regulated business industry is clean and adequately regulated. This position will assist the division in enforcing prohibitions against liquor and marijuana being sold to people under the age of 21 and protecting public health, safety and welfare. The position will be attempting to purchase alcohol and tobacco products from licensed retailers.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPeriodic as needed work attempting to purchase alcohol, kratom, marijuana, and other age restricted products while working with Licensing staff.Ability to testify at administrative hearings or in court.Work schedule will work around class schedules and other employment.Incumbents will attempt to purchase regulated products including showing their identification or providing a truthful or false response to age related questions depending on the nature of the investigation.Licensing personnel will be present outside or inside of the licensed business monitoring the attempted purchase.
