Job summary

Spectrum Child & Family Services is seeking a Licensing Specialist for Foster Care in Southfield, MI. The role includes recruiting, licensing and supervising foster homes for youth in need of out-of-home placement, with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.

You will coordinate collateral services per Michigan DCWL requirements, respond to family crises, and support family stability. A bachelor’s degree in human services and related experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree in human services disciplinary area.
• Experience: One-year experience working with families and assessment skills preferred.
• Child Welfare Training Institute completion highly desired.
• Knowledge: strength-based family work, solution focused treatment, wraparound process, child development, Child Welfare laws, foster care policies/process and procedures
• Transportation: Reliable and ongoing as required to make home visits and provide transportation to youth and families, valid un-restricted driver's license, good driving record, proof of automobile insurance.

Responsibilities
