Job summary

The State of Washington's Department of Licensing is seeking a Licensing Services Representative (LSR2) for the Smokey Point office. The role centers on issuing licenses and IDs, collecting fees, and delivering high-quality customer service in person to the public.

Training will be provided; you may travel to other offices as needed and perform driving skills tests. The organization values teamwork, integrity, and inclusion, with a background check and fingerprinting required.

Qualifications

• Two years direct customer service experience.
• Experience inputting data with electronic forms and templates.
• Typing speed of 30 wpm or greater.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Valid WA driver license and five years driving experience.
• Ability to follow agency values of respect, trust, diversity, equity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Verify authenticity of documents and issue licenses/IDs per laws and procedures.
• Perform final review of enhanced driver license applications and eligibility.
• Collect licensing fees and process payments accurately.
• Approve or deny enhanced applications and issue EDL/EID to eligible applicants.
• Assess customer qualifications for licensing issuance using current policies.
• Travel to other offices and participate in training; overnight stays possible.
• Conduct driving skills tests while riding in applicants' vehicles.
