Hot Topic, Inc. is seeking a Licensing Assistant Manager to support our in-house licensed business.

This hybrid role at our City of Industry, CA HQ involves serving as the main liaison between internal teams and licensing partners, managing 4-5 major partners plus up to 30 smaller ones, and driving revenue growth. Responsibilities include negotiating contracts, executing programs and audits, and ensuring timely product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of relevant licensing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main liaison between internal teams and external licensors.
• Drive growth by managing existing partners and pursuing incremental opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts, programs, and audits with external partners.
• Oversee licensing partner relationships from product launches to renewals.
• Define and execute business strategy; communicate with key licensors.
• Manage the licensing approval process and ensure timely product launches.
• Lead sales forecasts, track compliance, and ensure contractual adherence.
• Supervise and delegate work of direct reports, if applicable.
• Research market trends and pitch new licensing opportunities.
• Provide business insights through financial analysis and presentations.
