Job summary

X-energy LLC in Rockville, MD is seeking a Licensing Engineer to support reactor licensing efforts and interface with the U.S. NRC. You will contribute to licensing activities, prepare technical content, and coordinate between engineering, program management, and procurement teams.

Candidates should have a engineering or science degree, experience with NRC interactions, and a solid understanding of U.S. nuclear regulatory processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related area.
• Experience in direct NRC interactions (written and/or verbal).
• Understanding of the nuclear regulatory processes in the United States.
• Experience in project management related to developing schedules and coordinating team activities to produce technical content for regulatory purposes.

Responsibilities

• Support portions of licensing activities and ensure milestones are met with the U.S. NRC.
• Provide licensing support to engineers developing technical requirements for NRC compliance.
• Develop licensing content to support Safety Analysis Reports and licensing applications.
• Support planning and executing the licensing strategy and budgeting.
