Job summary

Antares is seeking a Licensing Engineer to develop and execute licensing and permitting strategies for the Antares R1 product line and future deployments. You will prepare regulatory products, coordinate engagements, translate requirements into actionable design and program deliverables, and drive closure on regulator commitments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field.
  • Experience interpreting regulatory requirements into design or program requirements.
  • Strong technical writing, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work across disciplines and drive actions to closure.
  • Experience with regulatory submittals and regulator communications.
  • Familiarity with NRC licensing frameworks and DOE/Army pathways.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute licensing and regulatory engagement strategies.
  • Identify regulatory requirements and translate into design, analysis, and documentation needs.
  • Prepare or coordinate licensing plans, briefs, white papers, and submittals.
  • Track regulator comments, commitments, decisions, and closure status.
  • Evaluate design/program products for compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop regulatory positions and assess alternative compliance approaches.
  • Plan and support regulator engagements; prepare leadership for high-level meetings.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional reviews with engineering, safety, operations, quality, and management.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory developments and licensing approaches for advanced reactors.
  • Support scalable, repeatable licensing processes for future deployments.
