Job summary

Antares is seeking a Licensing Engineer to develop and execute licensing strategies for its R1 product line and future commercial microreactor deployments. The role involves preparing regulatory products, coordinating engagements, translating requirements into actionable design and program needs, and driving closure with regulators and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related technical field.
  • Experience in a highly regulated technical environment.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements into design/program needs.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work across disciplines and drive closure in fast-paced settings.
  • Experience with regulatory engagement and licensing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute licensing and regulatory engagement strategies.
  • Identify regulatory and permitting requirements and translate into design and documentation.
  • Prepare licensing plans, briefs, white papers, and regulatory submittals.
  • Track regulator comments, commitments, and closure status.
  • Evaluate design and program products for compliance with licensing basis.
  • Develop regulatory positions and evaluate alternative approaches.
  • Plan and support regulator engagements; prepare leaders for engagements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional reviews with engineering, safety, operations, quality, PM, deployment.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory developments and licensing approaches for advanced reactors.
