SUMMARY

Under general supervision, the Licensing Coordinator will provide administrative support relative to the handling of corporate licensing as well as administrative operations applicable to the team and organization’s needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following, (other duties may be assigned):

  • Processing and submitting license applications, new and renewal, state notifications, affiliation updates, etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining insurance licenses for the various entities as well as teammates.
  • Responsible for follow-up on tasks and pending items to ensure all applications are complete with all necessary information and supporting documents.
  • Serves as liaison for licensees who need assistance with anything related to the maintenance of their insurance licenses in various states.
  • Updates files and maintains a variety of records for entitites and individual licenses.
  • Works with management to prioritize workload and ensure deadlines are met. Find practical solutions to problems as various issues arise.
  • Handles reporting where applicable to the state and or other licensing entities
  • Research projects assigned as needed.
  • Potential travel annually to licensing related conferences
  • Other duties as assigned

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate workflow.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong communications skills. Must be able to correspond and communicate in a courteous and professional manner to help resolve issues.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to adapt to varying assignments.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time with minimal error.
  • Ability to exercise proper judgment when working with confidential material and information.
  • Computer navigating skills – must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Internet Explorer, and vendor specific computer programs.
  • Reasoning ability – solve practical problems without strict instructions.

CERTIFICATES LICENSES AND REGISTRATION

  • SILA-Associate level licensing training courses are recommended
  • INS classes would be a plus, but not required for the position

QUALIFICATIONS

  • The Licensing Coordinator position is a fast-paced job with many different things to be done at once. The individual must be well organized and able to work in fast-paced deadline driven situations, someone interested in cross-training and developing new skills. This individual must be able to communicate in a courteous and professional manner to help resolve problems. Must pay attention to detail.

Pay Range

$28.84/per hour - $36.05/per hour Hourly

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
