Position Summary

This position is responsible for the licensing and permitting of company equipment as well as all Independent Contractors. This position also takes the lead with other team members in relation projects for licensing and permitting.

Essential Functions

  • Ensures proper licensing and permitting of company equipment to include all classes of vehicles up through Class 8 in the continental United States and Hawaii.
  • Reviews and files all title and registration documents for new equipment and acquisitions to ensure the company is compliant with all governmental regulations.
  • Processes all paperwork for equipment acquisitions and transfers; Creates intercompany leasing paperwork and submit applications for plating and registrations.
  • Process terminal requests for replacement permits and/or plates that have been misplaced or damaged.
  • Maintain licensing database for each unit including title information, registration and permit data to facilitate equipment tracking and renewal scheduling.
  • Assists the Equipment Manager in yearly IRP renewals.
  • Reviews all Independent Contractor Invoicing. Works with Payroll on deductions from escrow.
  • Reviews and signs off on all escrow release forms for Payroll.
  • Reconciles credit card transactions.
  • Will cross train on other duties on the Equipment Team as needed.
  • Integral role in consolidations of companies.
  • Supports assigned Director of Regional Maintenance.
  • Customer service to our field personnel with all licensing and permitting questions, requests, etc.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in transportation licensing/permitting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
  • Effective customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience with maintenance software.
