Job summary

TruStage is seeking an experienced licensing and compliance professional to support U.S. and Canadian distribution, licensing, and onboarding workflows. You will ensure regulatory alignment, advise partners, and lead cross-functional projects to strengthen internal controls and reporting.

Role requires 6+ years in financial services or insurance with licensing/QA experience; travel up to 10%. The company offers a flexible hybrid work environment and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, compliance, or related field or equivalent
• 6+ years in financial services, insurance, investment, compliance, or related field
• 3+ years in licensing, appointment, insurance compliance, quality assurance, or related processes
• Strong project management, process improvement, change management, organization, prioritization, training, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Clear and effective communication, verbal and written, with presentations to varied audiences

Responsibilities

• Provide SM quality assurance on licensing, appointment, and compliance for U.S. and Canada
• Strengthen key business relationships and advise partners on licensing and compliance
• Interpret state, provincial, and federal requirements and regulatory trends
• Solve complex problems and drive root-cause based improvements
• Lead teams or projects impacting Licensing with moderate scope and risk
• Identify gaps, controls, and dependencies across compliance processes
• Develop quality control systems, testing, and training materials
• Assist in presenting compliance risk and trends to leaders
• Support onboarding and hierarchy setup for agents and distributors
• Develop SOPs, checklists, and status reporting for licensing processes
• Support Canadian distribution and licensing requirements
• Travel up to 10%
• Preferred: US life/health and P&C licenses; experience with Canadian general agency models
