Job summary

Moneycorp seeks a Regulatory and Licensing Manager to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, manage licensing strategies, and coordinate audits across US and Canada. You will lead a small team, oversee NMLS activities, and report to the Chief Compliance Officer from a hybrid Stamford CT or Providence RI office.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in money transmitter licensing, 5+ years NMLS experience, and strong regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience with money transmitter licensing compliance.
• Five or more years of NMLS experience.
• Three or more years of experience participating in state or federal compliance examinations.
• Two or more years of management/supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of statutes, regulations, and NMLS activities applicable to money transmitters.

Responsibilities

• Manage Regulatory Compliance function and licensing activities.
• Coordinate state and nationwide licensing processes and NMLS activities.
• Maintain extra-provincial registrations for US entities in Canada and related filings.
• Horizon scan regulatory changes and report to CCO with timelines.
• File reports, renewals, and licensing documentation timely.
• Identify licensing risks and support mitigation plans.
• Create reporting dashboards on regulatory and licensing activities.
• Monitor NMLS task lists and vendor filings to ensure completeness.
• Track surety bonds and renewals; ensure timely processing.
• Provide executive overview of licensing status and risks.
• Hire and manage a Regulatory and Licensing Associate.
• Assist in other Compliance areas as needed.
• Coordinate external and internal audits and examinations.
