Job summary

Anne Arundel County Government is seeking a full-time, safety-sensitive License Inspector in the Office of Inspections and Permits. The role involves inspecting, issuing, and enforcing local licensing laws, codes, and regulations for county license requirements.

As part of a team, you will conduct inspections of mobile home parks, taxis, amusements, licensed businesses, and related facilities; process applications; investigate complaints; and maintain records.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school.
• Two or more years of experience in governmental licensing or regulatory authority.
• Valid non-commercial Class C motor vehicle license.
• Safety Sensitive role; subject to CDS and Alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical inspections including mobile homes, taxis, tow trucks, amusements, vendors, and licensed businesses.
• Receives license applications, supporting documentation, and payments.
• Investigates complaints and issues violations per County laws and regulations.
• Provides customer service and waits on the public.
• Reviews license applications and follows up with applicants to complete them.
• Maintains records and reports; performs data entry and filing.
