Job summary

Anne Arundel County’s Public Works Department seeks a Full-time, permanent Safety-Sensitive Construction Inspector in Utility Operations. You will inspect sewage pumping stations, force mains, water and sewer services, and paving contracts to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and regulations.

Work involves independent field inspections, technical judgment, coordination with contractors, engineers, and property owners, and supervision of junior inspectors as needed.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of technical and trades experience in construction work, including inspections.
• Valid non-commercial Class C motor vehicle operator's license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect a variety of construction projects to ensure adherence to specifications, codes, and standards.
• Coordinate with Contractors, Engineers, property owners, and other stakeholders; supervise junior inspectors as needed.
