Job description

Founder & CEO of Hadron Energy | Engineer Providing Clean Energy | Global Engineering Leader | International Standards & Certifications Scholar

Company Description

Hadron Energy specializes in Micro Modular Reactor (MMR) development, design, and research based in the San Francisco Bay Area. As the leading MMR developer, Hadron Energy is building factory‑produced, transportable microreactors that provide 24/7 carbon‑free power for data centers, government facilities, industrial sites, and remote communities. Our mission is to create a brighter, healthier, and more equitable energy future.

This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Licensing Assistant, based in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City. The position is ideal for candidates with strong organizational and regulatory support skills who are passionate about advancing next‑generation nuclear technology through effective engagement with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and other government stakeholders.

The Licensing Assistant will support Hadron Energy’s Licensing Team in preparing, organizing, and tracking documentation related to the company’s reactor licensing efforts. This individual will help coordinate communications, maintain compliance records, and ensure timely preparation of regulatory submissions and meeting materials.

You will play a vital role in enabling Hadron’s licensing team to operate efficiently—helping to advance the company’s reactor design through the NRC regulatory process and supporting its goal of commercial deployment of safe, scalable, and innovative microreactors.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and organization of NRC submittals, technical documents, and regulatory correspondence
  • Maintain and update internal databases and document control systems for licensing records and regulatory filings
  • Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and documentation for NRC meetings, audits, and public engagements
  • Support the creation of presentations, reports, and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders
  • Track and summarize NRC regulatory guidance, notices, and rule changes relevant to Hadron’s licensing activities
  • Work cross‑functionally with engineering, legal, and project management teams to gather data and ensure alignment of information for regulatory submissions
  • Ensure accurate and timely distribution of controlled documents in accordance with company and NRC requirements
  • Assist with version control, formatting, and QA/QC of official submittals to maintain high professional standards
  • Monitor submission timelines, track action items, and support compliance with NRC regulatory deadlines
  • Support the Licensing team in maintaining compliance with NQA‑1 and internal quality assurance procedures
Qualifications & Skillsets

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex documentation workflows
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with document management systems (SharePoint, OpenText, or equivalent)
  • Ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
