State of North Dakota is seeking a Licensing and Notary Specialist to review, approve, and file licensing documents in a detail-focused, in-person or remote-friendly environment. The role supports contractors, home inspectors, and notaries public while ensuring accurate license status for customers in North Dakota.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of office/customer service experience, with preferred proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
Every day as a Licensing and Notary Specialist, you will play a key role in the unit's primary purpose in the issuance of licenses, registrations, and commissions. You will review, approve, and file various documents including those related to contractors, home inspectors, athlete agents, professional employer organizations, charitable organizations, professional fundraisers, and notaries public.
This position requires accuracy and attention to detail as you assist customers in forming and maintaining their license/commission status in North Dakota. You will directly assist customers with these documents in-person, or via phone, mail, or email. This is an onsite position located in Bismarck ND.
To thrive in this role, you must be flexible in your daily tasks, be a strong communicator, possess solid decision-making and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy in your work. Work is expected to be performed with a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
To be considered for this role, you must have a High School Diploma/GED and 2 years' office or customer service experience. Knowledge and experience using Microsoft business applications including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word is preferred.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Three (3) or more years of professional customer service or business administration experience, and knowledge and experience using Microsoft business applications including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
The hiring salary range for the position is $3,255 - $4,500 per month ($39,060 - $54,000 per year)
