Job summary

Fortegra is seeking a Licensing Analyst in Jacksonville, FL to prepare, review and process entity licensing applications and annual renewals. You will be part of a compliance team supporting regulatory inquiries and maintaining license records.

The role requires attention to detail, data entry proficiency, and familiarity with licensing systems such as SIRCON, NIPR or IPORTAL. A fast-paced, collaborative environment is expected.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Excel and data entry.
  • 1–3 years in insurance licensing or related fields.
  • Experience with SIRCON, NIPR or IPORTAL preferred.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and files new entity licensing applications with regulators and handles annual renewals.
  • Tracks agent appointments and renewal deadlines.
  • Invoices agents or accounts for license fees.
  • Maintains license information in company systems.
  • Assists with compliance projects and regulatory responses.
  • Maintains license pending files and weekly reviews.
  • Files all regulatory correspondence.
  • Suggests improvements to management based on efficiency.

Job description

The Licensing Analyst will primarily be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and processing entity licensing applications and annual company renewals, as well as assisting with other compliance projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Highly proficient computer skills, working in different software systems, data entry and excel.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in insurance company agent and agency appointment &/or other medical or financial industry experience preferred.
  • Agency licensing, SIRCON, NIPR and/or IPORTAL experience preferred.
  • Quick learner who enjoys a fast paced, collaborative work environment.

Primary Job Functions:

  • Prepares and files new entity appointment and licensing applications with regulatory agencies and handles inquiries and annual renewals.
  • Tracks agent appointments for new and renewal deadlines.
  • Invoices agents or accounts for reimbursement of license fees.
  • Maintains license information and codes correctly into computer system.
  • Assists with other Compliance projects such as document production for regulatory agencies, responses to complaints and other matters.
  • Maintains license pending files and reviews/works weekly.
  • Maintains and files all necessary correspondence related to the regulatory function.
  • Evaluates work for effectiveness/efficiency and recommends changes to Manager when appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.
