Job description

A standalone subsidiary of Fanatics, Inc., Fanatics Licensing Management (FLM) serves a varied role for its clients, ranging from providing traditional trademark licensing agency services (e.g., brokering deals with third party licensees, overseeing brand protection and brand management, etc.) to managing the sublicensing rights as a primary licensee on behalf of professional sports properties and college clients.

The portfolio currently includes:

  • College: University of Georgia, University of Kentucky, University of Miami, University of Notre Dame, University of Oregon and the University of Wisconsin
  • Professional Properties: NFL Players Association, Major League Soccer, Hockey Canada, and MLB (Hard Goods)

The licensed consumer products business is comprised of hundreds of licensees leveraging licensor-owned intellectual property to manufacture and deliver apparel and hard goods to the retail marketplace to serve consumer demand. Consumer dynamics demand constant speed and innovation in order to preserve relevancy. However, this quest for speed cannot compromise the obligations and responsibilities required of licensees.

The Licensing Administrator serves a supporting role in the areas of operations, client and contract management and trademark enforcement.

How you will make an impact
  • Be a part of the Fanatics Licensing Management team to create a positive and productive partner experience for both clients and existing and prospective licensees.
  • Master FLM’s proprietary licensee management database to conduct all business transactions between FLM, its clients, and licensees.
  • Work with Licensing Operations team to support a variety of prioritized projects including processing renewals, contract compliance and expirations, licensee communications, system updates, client policy change notifications, and other operations-related projects.
  • Review digital artwork submissions from select licensees for contract and trademark compliance as well as client brand standards through the artwork review workflow process.
  • Work with the Licensing Operations team to prepare education materials and training information to properly educate licensees on the benefits, requirements and workings of the licensing system.
  • Organize, track and coordinate inventory of product samples for licensee requests and applications, communicating with licensees on receipt and when additional information is needed.
  • Review and process royalty reports submitted by licensees. Track and monitor receipt of reports and address inaccurate reports through written and verbal communication with licensees.
  • Serve as a resource internally and externally for licensees including understanding their respective businesses, answering a range of questions and anticipating their business needs.
  • Review and work with new and existing licensees to ensure completion of licensing requirements, including royalty reporting, contract execution, insurance submissions, labor code requirements, authorized manufacturer agreements and digital artwork submissions.
  • Coordinate with and support all internal teams to maintain accurate record of contract compliance and requirements.
  • Contribute to the daily business processes and make recommendations to improve collaboration within FLM’s licensing team.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
