Job summary

Sabine River Authority of Texas is seeking a Project Inspector/Wastewater Operator for the Lake Tawakoni Division. The role covers operation, monitoring, maintenance, and repair of the wastewater treatment plant, lift stations, and related facilities, including monthly DMR submissions.

Required are a High School diploma or GED, a Class C Wastewater Treatment license and two years of field experience, plus ability to read and follow English instructions.

Qualifications

• Be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English
• Be able to swim, walk long distances, and safely lift 75 pounds waist high
• Possess a Class C Wastewater Treatment license and two years of field experience
• Valid Texas Driver’s License and be insurable under the Authority’s policy
• Be able to operate water-related equipment safely

Responsibilities

• Assist in operation, monitoring, maintenance, and repair of the wastewater treatment plant and lift stations
• Participate in the monthly submission of discharge monitoring records (DMR’s)
• Assist with permitting of flood plain and Authority property (PLUP/GLUP/CLUP etc.)
• Support the division OSSF program and compliance inspections
• Contribute to PLUP audits and PLUP/CLUP compliance follow-ups
• Assist with water meter readings and piezometer/Extensometer programs
• Assist with LTD buoy program and related field activities
• Work with the Field Supervisor and maintain a positive work environment
