Mendocino Community Health Clinic, Inc. is seeking a dedicated LVN to join our Pediatrics team in Ukiah, CA. The LVN will support providers, educate families, and ensure high-quality pediatric care, including administering vaccines and coordinating visits within a collaborative care setting.

The role emphasizes documentation in the EHR, adherence to pediatric CDC guidelines, and ongoing family education. A California LVN license and current BLS are required, with IV therapy training preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid State of California Certificate of Registration as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
• Current BLS certification.
• Satisfactory completion of an IV therapy course approved by the California State Board.

Responsabilités

• Administer and document vaccines and medications accurately, following CDC pediatric guidelines.
• Monitor and document patient symptoms, treatments, and responses in the EHR.
• Provide patient education to families on growth milestones, wellness visits, and chronic care management.
• Assist with medication refills, provider orders, and coordination with pharmacies as directed.
• Perform therapeutic blood withdrawal and IV therapy if certified.
• Collaborate with the care team to improve workflows and pediatric care quality.

About the Role

We are seeking a caring and detail-oriented LVN to join our Pediatrics team. As a pediatric LVN, you’ll play a vital role in supporting providers, educating families, and ensuring children receive safe and effective care. You’ll work within a collaborative care team, helping to coordinate visits, administer vaccines, provide patient education, and contribute to a positive clinic experience for every child and family.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and document vaccines and medications accurately, following CDC guidelines for pediatric immunizations
• Monitor and document patient symptoms, treatments, and responses in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Support families with age‑appropriate patient education, including growth milestones, wellness visits, and chronic care management
• Assist with medication refills, provider orders, and coordination with pharmacies as directed
• Perform therapeutic blood withdrawal and IV therapy if certified
• Collaborate with the care team to improve workflows and deliver consistent, high‑quality pediatric care

Requirements

• Valid State of California Certificate of Registration as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
• Satisfactory completion of a prescribed course of instruction in intravenous therapy, approved by California State Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners
• Current BLS certification

Preferred Qualification

• Previous experience working as an LVN, in an outpatient setting
