AltaMed Health Services Corp. in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for the PACE program to provide direct patient care under RN/Physician supervision. Responsibilities include vital signs, data collection, medication administration, and basic treatments to support geriatric patients.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited LVN program, hold a California LVN license, and have BLS certification. Bilingual skills (Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese) are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• California LVN license issued by the State of California, Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.
• Minimum 1 year LVN experience preferred.
• Experience with frail/elderly population preferred.
• Knowledge of geriatric care needs preferred.
• BLS certification or higher required per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.
• Bilingual Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese highly preferred.

Job Overview

The LVN provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician. The LVN tasks include, but are not limited to, vital signs, data gathering, medication administration, and rendering patient care/treatments.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited LVN school.
• Current LVN license issued by the State of California, Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as an LVN is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population is preferred.
• Experience and knowledge regarding the physical, mental, and social needs of geriatric patients are preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
• Bilingual Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese highly preferred.

LVN FLOAT POSITION

• Current and valid driver's license and active insurance verification

Pay for this job starts at $31.93 hourly
