Job summary

Texas Children’s Hospital in Cypress, TX is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to gather information, assess and provide direct pediatric care. You will work with the healthcare team to deliver age-appropriate treatments and support families.

This on-site role requires BLS, Texas LVN license, and compliance with OSHA/CLIA guidelines. You will administer medications, assist with education, triage patients, and coordinate referrals as part of a compassionate care team.

Qualifications

We are searching for a

We are searching for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) TCP Cypress-- someone to gather information, assess and provide direct care to patients. Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to render age-appropriate care.

Think you’ve got what it takes?

• Knowledge of pediatric assessment and treatment
• Knowledge of related OSHA and CLIA/COLA guidelines and requirements, general office tasks, confidentiality and filing system
• Proficiency with treatments such as nebulizer, ear irrigation and dressing changes

Qualifications:

• High school graduate, GED, or equivalent
• Diploma or Certificate from a school of vocational nursing OR Documentation from the Texas Board of Nursing verifying an exception to the requirement for a diploma from a school of vocational nursing
• Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) by the State of Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or Compact
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Heart Association
