Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of experience in caregiving for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Active California LVN license is required.
• CPR certification is required; First Aid is preferred and will be expected within 30 days of hire.
• Current TB test and a recent physical exam are required; a clean background is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 respite care for families of clients with developmental disabilities.
• G-tube care and feeding as needed.
• Take vital signs and administer prescribed medications.
• Trach care when necessary (training provided; not always required).
• Check blood glucose and administer insulin as ordered.
• Seizure management and safety precautions during visits.
• Document all nursing notes after each visit.
• Support clients and their family members during care.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition to supervisors.

Pay rate: $35.00 hourly

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 respite care for families ofa child or adult with developmental disabilities
• GastronomyTube(g-tube) Care and Feeding
• Take vital signs and administer medication
• TrachCare (very rarely, do not need to have experience in this)
• Check blood sugar and administer insulin injection
• Seizure Management – may need to give medication if ordered and ensure safety
• Document on nursing notes every visit
• Be asupportto clients andtheir familymembers
• Monitor and report changes in client care and/orbehavior

Qualifications

• Must have one year of experience
• Active CA. LVN License
• CPR certification
• Physical within the last 6 months and recent TB test
• Current TB test, current physical, Valid CPR card and First Aide (within 30 days of hire)
• Clear criminal background
