Job summary

Cambrian Homecare, Inc. in California seeks an LVN with CPR certification to provide 1:1 respite care for individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include tube feeding, vital signs, and medication administration.

The role requires an active CA LVN license, current TB test and physical, and a clean background. New grads may shadow a nurse and gain paid experience; comprehensive benefits and flexible scheduling are available.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of direct care experience.
• Active California LVN license.
• CPR certification required.
• Physical and TB test within last 6 months.
• Current TB test, current physical, valid CPR and First Aid within 30 days.
• New grads welcome; mentorship shadowing paid.
• Clear criminal background.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 respite care for families of a child or adult with developmental disabilities.
• GastronomyTube care and feeding.
• Take vital signs and administer medication.
• TrachCare – very rarely; no prior experience required.
• Check blood sugar and administer insulin.
• Seizure management and safety.
• Document nursing notes after every visit.
• Support clients and their families.
• Monitor and report changes in client care and/or behavior.

Pay rate: $30.00 hourly

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 respite care for families ofa child or adult with developmental disabilities
• GastronomyTube(g-tube) Care and Feeding
• Take vital signs and administer medication
• TrachCare (very rarely, do not need to have experience in this)
• Check blood sugar and administer insulin injection,
• Seizure Management – may need to give medication if ordered and ensure safety
• Document on nursing notes every visit
• Be asupportto clients andtheir familymembers
• Monitor and report changes in client care and/orbehavior

Qualifications

• Must have one year of experience
• Active CA. LVN License
• CPR certification
• Physical within the last 6 months and recent TB test
• Current TB test, current physical, Valid CPR card and First Aide (within 30 days of hire)
• New grads welcome – can shadow an experienced nurse to gain confidence prior to taking a case on their own (paid)
