Job summary

ClearSky Health in Texas is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our inpatient care team. You will deliver skilled nursing services under the supervision of an RN and follow physician orders to support individualized care plans.

Ideal candidates have a Texas LPN license, CPR; ACLS/BLS preferred, and at least 1 year of acute-care experience. You will work 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week with rotating weekends and holidays, contributing to a compassionate, high-quality recovery

Qualifications

• LPN license valid in Texas and CPR certification.
• ACLS and BLS certifications preferred.
• 1+ year of LPN experience, acute care a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care under supervision of an RN and in line with physician orders.
• Administer treatments and monitor patient status and response to therapies.
• Maintain safe and healing environment; collaborate with RNs, physicians and other healthcare professionals.

About the Role

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you’ll be a key contributor to our patient care team, delivering skilled nursing services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in alignment with physician orders. Your role is essential in supporting individualized care plans, administering treatments, and ensuring a safe and healing environment for every patient. Position Highlights at a Glance

Caseload: ~7 patients Average Patient Length of Stay: 10–14 days Conditions: Stroke, brain & spinal cord injuries, cardiac, ortho, complex medical, and more Team Approach: Work closely with PT/OT/ST, physicians, case managers, respiratory therapy & more Advanced Care: IVs, trachs, wound care, mobility support, lines, tubes, and drains 12-hour shifts, 3 days/week + rotating weekends/holidays (with added pay)

What You’ll Need

LPN License (State of Texas) CPR required | ACLS & BLS preferred 1+ year of LPN experience preferred (Acute care a plus)

Physical Requirements Over the Course of a Shift

A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time. Both gross and precise motor functions. Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs. Possible exposure to bodily fluids. Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care. Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment. Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard. Close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
