Job summary

AltaMed Health Services is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide direct patient care at our West Covina site under RN or physician supervision. The LVN will perform vital signs, data collection, administer medications, and support geriatric patients.

Qualified candidates have an LVN diploma, CA LVN license, BLS, and preferably 1 year of LVN experience with elderly populations. Bilingual abilities are highly valued in our diverse clinics.

Qualifications

• LVN diploma or certificate from an accredited program.
• Current California LVN license (Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians).
• BLS certification required or higher per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.
• 1 year LVN experience preferred; geriatric experience preferred.
• Bilingual abilities (Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN/Physician supervision.
• Perform vital signs, data collection, medication administration and basic treatments.
• Support geriatric patients with physical, mental and social needs.
