Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp. seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for in-person care in West Covina, CA. The LVN provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician, including vital signs, data gathering, medication administration and treatment delivery.

The ideal candidate has a California LVN license, at least 1 year of LVN experience (geriatrics preferred), and BLS certification. Bilingual skills in Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LVN program.
• Current LVN license issued by the State of California (Vocational Nursing).
• Minimum 1 year LVN experience preferred.
• Experience with frail or elderly population preferred.
• BLS certification or higher per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of RN or Physician.
• Take vital signs and collect patient data.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with patient assessments and care planning.
