Job summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to support the Aetna Specialty Medical Prior Authorization team in a remote work-from-home setting. You will handle PA requests, communicate with physician offices, and oversee fax processing while maintaining complete documentation.

The role includes inbound calls, loading authorizations, and following up as needed. After-hours on-call support is required, with referrals to Pharmacists/MD teams as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Active LVN/LPN license in any US state, territory or DC.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• License number must be provided.

Responsibilities

Provide processing and communication of specialty medication prior authorization (PA) requests reviewed by the Aetna Specialty Medical Prior Authorization department. Work with physician office staff and departments to communicate prior authorization status and oversee fax processing. Answer inbound phone calls, process cases, load authorizations, and make follow‑up calls, maintaining accurate documentation. Review criteria‑based prior authorizations following policy and procedure. Provide on‑call after‑hours nurse support for urgent PA requests. Refer cases not meeting clinical criteria to Pharmacists and MD team(s). Support the PA team and member services department with internal nurse assistance.

Critical Information

Remote, work from home environment with a HIPAA compliant setting. Shift/Hours: 40 hours, training scheduled 11/16/2025 to approximately 12/21/2025, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm CST, then 8:00am-5:00pm CST. Preferred candidates located in MST or PST time zones. Must have own private internet with speeds of at least 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload, with screenshot verification. Must have full, active, and unrestricted LVN/LPN license in any U.S. state, territory, or D.C.

Full, active, unrestricted Practical or Vocational Nursing license in the U.S. High School Diploma or GED required. License number required.
