Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corporation seeks an LVN to provide direct patient care under supervision. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, phlebotomy, data gathering, and safe medication administration within the LVN scope.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required or higher per American Heart Association or Red Cross guidelines.
• IV certified and wound care experience preferred.
• 1 year of patient care experience in outpatient, inpatient, skilled nursing, home health, or clinic setting preferred.
• Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese) depending on location preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a RN or Physician.
• Take vital signs, perform phlebotomy, gather data and administer medications within scope.
• Verify medication for Medical Assistants within LVN scope of practice.
• Assist with patient education and care coordination as needed.

Job Overview

The LVN provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician. The LVN tasks include vital signs, phlebotomy, gathering data, and medication administration. The LVN verifies medication for Medical Assistants within the LVN's scope of practice.

Minimum Requirements

• - Graduation from an accredited LVN school with a current LVN license issued by the State of California, Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.
• - Preferred 1 year of providing patient care outpatient/inpatient, Skilled Nursing, Home Health, or clinic setting.
• - IV certified preferred.
• - Preferred wound care experience.
• - Experience and knowledge regarding the physical, mental, and social needs of the patients.
• - Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese, depending on location preferred.
• - A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Compensation

Pay for this job starts at $31.93 hourly
