Job summary
Fairgrounds Animal Hospital in Reno, NV seeks an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to support outpatient care and procedural services, including anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry. The ideal candidate is credentialed, client-focused, and adept at balancing exam room tasks with hands-on animal care.
You will maintain accurate medical records, review treatment plans with clients, and collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential required.
- Experience in outpatient and procedural workflows.
- Proficient in anesthesia, dentistry, and radiography.
Responsibilities
- Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
- Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
- Assist in surgery.
- Perform dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography.
- Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation.
- Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
- Identify patient concerns and support efficient case management.
- Build strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service.
- Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring.
