VCA Colonial Animal Hospital in Upstate New York is seeking a Per Diem experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT eligible) to join our ER team full time as a triage technician.

Compensation: $26 - 32 is based on skill set, experience, and licensure status. (LVT, VTS).

The skills that you will be utilizing include a multitude of technical skills to include but not limited to: Triage and assessment of the critical ill patient Venipuncture Catheter placement Invasive monitoring CT/Radiology Anesthesia monitoring Physical examinations and patient assessment CRI's, blood transfusions, IV and oral medication administration Laboratory work Pharmacy Medical record input- history taking Client communication to include discharges and patient updates. Technical ability to include compassionate handling and restraint, strong patient assessment and monitoring skills, the ability to perform supportive and invasive therapies and emergency procedure.
