Job summary

VCA Colonial Animal Hospital in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York seeks a Per Diem experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT eligible) to join our ER team as a triage technician. We support patient care around the clock with a growing medical and surgical program and a strong emphasis on teamwork.

• Licensed Veterinary Technician with eligibility for certification or current licensure.
• Ability to perform triage and critical patient assessment in an ER setting.
• Strong client communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage and assess critical ill patients in an ER environment.
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and monitoring.
• Assist with anesthesia monitoring and diagnostic imaging coordination.
• Input medical records, provide patient updates to clients, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with a multi-doctor ER team for high-quality care.

VCA Colonial Animal Hospital is a 17 doctor hybrid hospital seeking a Per Diem experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician, or LVT eligible to join our ER team full time as a triage technician.

We are proud to be one of the premier providers of primary, specialty and emergency care located in the heart of the beautiful Fingerlakes region in Upstate New York. We serve our clients 24hrs a day 365 days a year.

Compensation: $26 - 32 is based on skill set, experience, and licensure status. (LVT, VTS).
