Job summary

VCA VREC Westbury is seeking a part-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our 24-hour Emergency and Critical Care team in Westbury, NY. The overnight shifts offer a collaborative environment with access to advanced imaging and care techniques, including CT, MRI, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

We value teamwork, ongoing professional development, and compassionate patient care. Minimum 1 year of experience and a valid LVT license are required; weekend coverage is included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience.
• Overnight shift availability required.

Responsibilities

• Procedural anesthesia monitoring.

We're seeking an part time experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician for our Emergency and Critical Care department on our OVERNIGHT shifts at our 24-hour Emergency/Specialty hospital.

Potential Schedule: Part-time, overnight weekdays, and weekends.

Compensation: $31 - $37 / hour based on skill set, and licensure status (LVT)

Plus

$2 overnight differential 8p-8a every night

$4 weekend differential available Friday 8p- Mon 8a

Licensed Veterinary Technician Duties:

• Procedural anesthesia monitoring
• Ability to calculate drug doses
• Full Technician Skill Utilization
• Venipuncture / IVC placement
• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
• Providing compassionate care for all patients
• Imaging and advanced procedures
• Paid on-call availability
• Minimum 1 year experience
