VCA NorthviewAnimal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic veterinary technician to join our Overnight care team on a full-time basis. The role emphasizes autonomous work, building meaningful patient connections, and delivering focused, high-quality care in a calmer environment.

We are a collaborative and supportive team with opportunities to expand skills, grow professionally, and participate in a progressive General Practice & Specialty Hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure hospitalized patients receive gold standard medical care
• Recognize normal and abnormal vitals and respond appropriately
• Proficiency with medical math to ensure correct dosages
• Venipuncture / IV placement when needed
• Able to stay on task and work independently
• Coordinate with daytime team to ensure smooth transition of cases
• Participation in monthly technician meetings for collaboration and protocol reviews
• Provide compassionate care for all patients

Overnight Veterinary Technician Duties:

• Ensure hospitalized patients are provided gold standard medical care
• Recognize normal and abnormal vitals and respond appropriately
• Proficiency with medical math to ensure correct dosages
• Venipuncture / IVC placement when needed
• Able to stay on task and work independently
• Keeping an open and collaborative line of communication flowing by rounding with the daytime team to ensure smooth transition of cases
• Participation in monthly technician meetings that allows time for collaboration, team building, and new protocol reviews
• Providing compassionate care for all patients

Potential Schedule:

Full-time - Tue/Wed/Thur 7pm-7am

Compensation:

The pay range or this position is $21-$30/hr
