Haven Animal Hospital, established in 1993 by local veterinarian Dr. Barbara Bytwerk, is a full-service small animal veterinary clinic dedicated to providing top-quality healthcare for pets. Our team includes experienced veterinarians, licensed veterinary technicians, and staff committed to excellence. We offer advanced services such as digital ultrasound, fiber-optic endoscopy, laser therapy, and stem cell therapy, supported by our in-house laboratory and radiology facilities.

Your Mission

As a licensed veterinary technician at Haven Animal Hospital, your role is to maintain a positive attitude while assisting in patient care. You will support veterinarians during procedures like dental work, surgeries, and radiographs, and communicate with clients about their pets’ needs in a caring manner.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Manage the care of hospitalized animals and follow-up procedures
  • Assist with surgeries from start to finish
  • Perform ear and fecal cytologies, blood draws
  • Set IV catheters, prepare vaccines, monitor vital signs, and assist with x-ray setup
  • Support reception staff by answering phones and relaying messages
Qualifications
  • Licensed in the LVT program from an accredited school
  • Proficient with computers and willing to learn AviMark Software
  • Able to lift 50 lbs or more
  • Capable of standing for extended periods
  • Outgoing, positive, energetic team player who follows procedures
  • Experience with laboratory diagnostics and treatments
  • Ability to recognize animal behaviors and understand medical terminology
  • Adaptable to team dynamics and committed to excellent customer service
