Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program or equivalent experience.

Responsabilités

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as blood draws, urine collection, and fecal testing.
• Place and maintain IV catheters and administer medications as prescribed.
• Monitor anesthesia and post-operative recovery with attention to patient safety and comfort.
• Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients, including feeding, cleaning, and observation.
• Accurately document patient medical records and treatment plans in the hospital computer system.
• Communicate with clients regarding treatment recommendations, home care instructions, and preventive health care.
• Prepare and maintain surgical and exam areas, ensuring cleanliness and proper equipment function.
• Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
• Maintain inventory and stock supplies as needed.
• Uphold safety and infection control protocols at all times.
• Support a positive hospital culture through teamwork, empathy, and respect toward clients, patients, and colleagues.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to educate and build rapport with clients
• Capable of handling stressful or emotionally charged situations calmly and professionally
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
