Carroll Gardens Veterinary Group in Brooklyn, NY seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to provide compassionate nursing care and support to veterinarians. Qualifications

• Must be credentialed Veterinary Technician with active state license, or student of an accredited Veterinary Technology program.
• Minimum 2 years' professional experience in small animal clinical setting.
• Superior technical knowledge and skills.
• Proficient in medical math calculations (drugs, CRIs, conversions, etc.).
• Excellent communication with clients and team members.
• Able to lift and restrain pets up to 40 pounds and stand most of the day.
• Team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate nursing care using a range of technical skills.
• Support veterinarians for preventative, injury, and illness visits.
• Advocate for patients and educate clients.
• Assist with procedures and surgeries, including anesthesia induction and monitoring.
• Obtain health history and document in EMR accurately.
• Mentor and support fellow team members.
• Continuously advance knowledge and skills.
