Pasado’s Safe Haven in Thurston County, WA is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to support high-volume spay/neuter services. The LVT will coordinate patient flow, prepare patients, monitor anesthesia, assist veterinarians, and ensure safe recovery and discharge while maintaining compassionate, low-stress handling.

Responsibilities emphasize collaboration, accurate medical records, inventory, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State Veterinary Technician license.
• Minimum two years of veterinary clinical experience.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Commitment to animal welfare and humane care practices.
• Knowledge of controlled substance regulations.
• Proficiency in anesthetic dosage calculations.
• Ability to handle animals of varying sizes and temperaments.
