Job summary

What You’ll Do

• Assist veterinarians during surgery and perform technical tasks such as catheter placement and sample analysis

What You’ll Bring

• You are a licensed veterinary technician in Washington State with strong clinical skills and a calm, focused approach under pressure. You communicate effectively with both clients and colleagues, and you take pride in delivering high standards of care. You’re detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of making sound decisions in dynamic situations.
• Active LVT license in good standing (Washington State)
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia, patient monitoring, and animal handling
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and compassionate care
• Preferred but not required: Spanish language skills and/or prior shelter or clinical experience

Work Environment

• This is a highly active, hands-on role requiring extended periods of standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs. with assistance), bending, and working in clinical and surgical settings. You’ll be exposed to medical equipment, cleaning agents, and potentially challenging animal behaviors. The environment can be fast-paced and emotionally demanding, requiring resilience, focus, and adaptability.

$26 - $30 per hour
