Kitsap Humane Society (KHS), a highly progressive open-admission animal welfare organization located in Silverdale, Washington is looking to engage additional Licensed Veterinary Technician relief support for our team. We are open to individuals seeking full or part-time employment. In addition to practicing shelter medicine and surgery, we are excited to have opened our low-income community clinic this past year. We partner with veterinary clinics across the region who have identified families in crisis in order to provide urgently needed medical and surgical care in our new, 4,600sf veterinary hospital. We are looking for a conscientious, progressive, team-oriented technician to provide support for our veterinarians in order to provide outstanding medical and surgical care for the animals under our care. KHS’s LVT will work in collaboration with the Veterinary Operations Manager, veterinarians, staff and volunteers to provide high quality shelter medicine, surgery, treatment and care for KHS shelter animals and community clinic patients and clients. Technician responsibilities will include all aspects of surgery and recovery, examinations of patients, caregiver education, medical treatments, laboratory work and radiography. Our LVT must be efficient at time management and able to thrive in a high volume, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
