Job summary

Elko Veterinary Clinic in Elko, NV is seeking Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join our busy, full-service mixed-animal practice. New graduates encouraged to apply and schedules include four 10-hour shifts or flexible part-time options; on-call after hours.

Compensation ranges $27.00-$35.00 per hour, plus CE allowance and relocation assistance. We have served the community since 1953 with a strong focus on high-quality patient care and client education.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician in NV or eligible to transfer within 3 months of hire.
• 2+ years of veterinary clinical experience preferred.
• AVMA-accredited program preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Passion for working with a variety of species and their owners.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a hospital setting.
• Assist with anesthesia monitoring and surgical procedures.
• Perform diagnostic tests and radiology.
• Maintain proper animal handling and restraint across species.

Elko Veterinary Clinic is looking for Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join our team. Our busy, full-service mixed animal practice is seeking dedicated team members who are looking to utilize their skills and knowledge.

Full-time or Part-time shifts available.

New LVT Graduates Encouraged to Apply!

• Salary: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.
• Schedule: Full-time, Four 10-hour shifts per week. Primarily weekdays with rotating weekend support. Part-time, flexible scheduling, including weekend coverage.
• On-Call: After hours, rotating, on-call scheduling required.

Who You Are

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Nevada, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire
• 2+ years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant preferred
• Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Passion for working with large and small animals, birds, exotics, and their owners
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint for a variety of species
• Ability to perform nursing care in a hospital or ranch setting
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
• Dental procedure experience, scaling, polishing, extractions, suturing
• Skilled in IV Catheter placement, urinary catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care
• Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
• Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
• And all other duties of a Licensed Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
