Qualifications

• State license to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician in state of employment.
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office applications.
• Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in outpatient exams by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs during surgery.
• Obtain samples and perform in-hospital laboratory testing.
• Administer and monitor medications and treatments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Communicate with veterinarians and team members about patient plans.
