Job summary

Dakota Veterinary Center in White Plains, NY is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician Manager to lead and develop our technician and assistant team while staying engaged in hands-on patient care. This is not a desk-only role; you will coach, onboard, train, and help set clinical standards, stepping onto the floor with the team when needed.

You will oversee anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, radiology, and day-to-day workflow, partnering with hospital leadership and VIP to ensure outstanding

Qualifications

• Current New York State Veterinary Technician licensure.
• Strong hands-on veterinary technician experience.
• Leadership, supervisory, training, or mentorship experience.
• Confidence with anesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing.
• Experience with dentistry and dental radiography.
• Strong venipuncture, IV catheter, laboratory, radiology, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to coach others while also holding people accountable.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coaching, mentoring, and developing technicians and veterinary assistants.
• Supporting onboarding and hands-on clinical training.
• Creating clear expectations and accountability across the team.
• Coordinating daily workflow, staffing, and patient care needs.
• Helping technicians utilize and grow their clinical skills while maintaining standards.
• Improving efficiency and communication between doctors and the support team.
• Supporting anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, treatments, and patient care.
• Stepping onto the floor and working alongside the team when needed.
