Job summary

River Oaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic Social Worker/Therapist for our IOP/PHP Therapy Program- PRN. You will provide clinical social work expertise to hospital-wide programs and deliver social services according to patient needs, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to follow IOP guidelines.

The role requires a Master's degree in a mental health field, LA licensure or active pursuit, and 2+ years of post-graduate mental health experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a mental health field is required.
• Must have current certification or licensure by the State of Louisiana (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) or be pursuing licensure under supervision.
• Two years post-graduate work experience in mental health or related field preferred.
• Working knowledge to assess dynamics and develop treatment strategies within an overall plan.
• Minimum one year experience in discharge planning or clinical case management in a community-based setting.
• Experience with performing utilization reviews.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical social work expertise to hospital-wide programs and deliver social services aligned with patient needs.
• Work as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team, following guidelines set by the IOP Program and Director.
• Assess needs and contribute to discharge planning and referrals as appropriate.
