Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling.
  • Licensed Psychologist, LPC, or LICSW required; valid driver’s license as needed.
  • Maintains current knowledge of standards of care through continuing education.
  • Familiar with CARF Standards, Medicaid and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Licensed TherapistDepartment: Clinical ServicesSupervises: NoneReports To: Supervisor of ProgramEffective Date: 05/21/2025Job PurposeProvides comprehensive assessments to determine appropriate treatment, delivers evidence-based therapy, and ensures high-quality patient care in a residential or outpatient setting in accordance with clinical best practices and agency standards.Primary Responsibilities and DutiesConducts comprehensive assessments to determine medically necessary and appropriate services in accordance with agency guidelines.Provides therapeutic interventions utilizing evidence-based modalities to ensure effective, efficient, and client-centered treatment.Delivers individual, group, and family therapy using research-supported techniques and curricula.Coordinates care with healthcare professionals, including physicians and social workers, to ensure integrated, comprehensive client treatment.Ensures high-quality customer service and maintains accurate documentation of all interactions.Adheres to program and center guidelines for billable activities.Maintains expertise in organizational policies, licensure regulations, CARF Standards, Medicaid, and other regulatory requirements governing service delivery.Meets agency-defined productivity benchmarks while maintaining the integrity and quality of services provided.Primary AttributesProfessional & Technical Knowledge:Possesses the equivalent of extensive formal training in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling, including an understanding of the application of the theory and practices of the profession to the operations of the organization, usually in the form of a major inPsychology, Social Work, or Counseling as part of a Master’s Degree (or other applicable extended training program).Continuing Education:Maintains current knowledge of standards of care and practices, typically acquired through continuing education.Licenses & Certifications:Licensed Psychologist, LPC, or LICSW required.A valid state-issued driver’s license is required in specific programs.Technical Skills:Prepares basic correspondence and simple reports in Microsoft Word. Uses Microsoft Excel to create tables and simple displays of information. Creates basic presentations in MicrosoftPowerPoint. Demonstrates necessary proficiency with all electronic clinical systems, including EHR and scheduling systems, in use at the Company.General Development:Displays basic organizational skills in order to self-prioritize and organize own work. Determines effective responses to situations encountered within established precedent. Able to effectively communicate opinions drawn from conclusions using inference and logic. Exercises tact and diplomacy in the resolution of mild conflicts or disagreements.Work Environment:Work is performed in a public, customer-facing, high traffic environment. At times, work may involve working with disruptive or distressed individuals.
