Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a full-time Licensed Surveyor to join our Rock Island team. The candidate should be capable of leading survey projects for municipal, state, and federal markets and may work from Rock Island, IL, Springfield, IL, or Coralville, IA locations.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with a preference for experience in AutoCAD and field supervision. Competitive benefits and a clear path for licensure are offered.

Qualifications

• 5 years or more experience in surveying.
• Illinois Survey license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD

Responsibilities

• Measure property lines and boundaries using surveying equipment.
• Research property records, titles, and land documents to inform surveys.
• Record accurate property lines with local land use authorities.
• Prepare base mapping using AutoCAD software.
• Perform boundary calculations and field support calculations.
• Represent the Firm professionally to clients and contractors.
• Conduct title research and mapping for ROW/E and land surveys.
• Prepare easements, plats and surveys.
• Ensure project legal documents are completed and signed.
