The counselor will develop treatment plans, perform bio-psychosocial assessments, and create aftercare and discharge plans, ensuring trauma-informed, respectful care.

Qualifications

• Must possess an LCDC in Texas.
• Experience working with chemically dependent individuals preferred.
• Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental attitude toward patients.
• Understanding of an EMR system (electronic medical records).
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients through medically assisted treatments and opioid addiction techniques.
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for crisis management and coping strategies.
• Evaluate patients’ progress and collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other counselors for outcomes.
• Provide individual and group counseling; coordinate services throughout treatment.
• Establish and review initial treatment plans with each patient.
• Complete bio-psychosocial assessments.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Ensure delivery of counseling services in a trauma-informed manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
