San Mateo County Community College District seeks an adjunct counselor to provide comprehensive counseling services to students, including academic, vocational, personal, and disability-related support. Responsibilities include case management, facilitating college orientations, and supporting student success and retention through counseling interventions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in rehabilitation counseling or in counseling, guidance counseling, student personnel, clinical or counseling psychology, education counseling, social work, career development, marriage and family therapy, or related.
• Possession of a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) and relevant coursework related to people with disabilities, or equivalent.
• Two years of full-time experience or equivalent in counseling or related to persons with disabilities.

Responsabilités

• Provide professional, academic, vocational, personal, and disability-related counseling.
• Assist students experiencing academic difficulty to maximize success.
• Develop education plans and monitor student progress.
