Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of project management experience involving planning, coordination, and oversight of engineering, inspection, design, repair, or construction projects.
• Two years of experience conducting structural inspections, including evaluating bridges or other transportation structures, identifying deficiencies, and recommending repairs.
• Possession of a Maryland Professional Engineer license; license must be presented at appointment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a staff of professional engineers specializing in different disciplines of engineering and inspections, including proposal and invoice review.
• Use the ASIR software to manage and schedule inspections.
• Develop task order packages for structural repairs.
• Perform inspections and evaluations of structures to identify defects and determine repairs.
• Work with the Capital Program Manager to stay current on ongoing and proposed projects.
• Coordinate with Operations and Construction Divisions to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
• Manage assignment of inspection and design projects to consultants.
