Maryland Transportation Authority is seeking a Structures Project Manager to act as a licensed professional engineer for structural engineering tasks of varying size and complexity. You will inspect bridges, review reports, perform analyses, and develop repair designs with cost estimates.
The role involves coordinating with consultants and internal teams to ensure timely maintenance and project execution, reporting to the Structures Inspection Program Manager, based in Baltimore, MD.

The Structures Project Manager functions as a licensed professional engineer serving as a project engineer and design engineer for structural engineering assignments of varying size and complexity. Responsibilities include performing bridge and structure inspections; reviewing inspection reports; performing structural analyses and load ratings; evaluating structural and safety concerns; developing repair recommendations; designing structural repairs; preparing plans, specifications, construction sequences, and cost estimates; reviewing consultant work; coordinating permits and other approvals; and providing technical support during construction.
Employees in this position will report directly to the Structures Inspection Program Manager. The current vacancy is in Baltimore, MD.

Possession of a Maryland Professional Engineer license, in the appropriate option, is required. Evidence of license must be presented at the time of appointment.
Two years of project management experience involving planning, coordination, and oversight of engineering, inspection, design, repair, or construction projects. Two years of experience conducting structural inspections, including evaluating bridges or other transportation structures, identifying deficiencies, and recommending repairs.
