Job summary

Qualifications include a Minnesota 1st Class B boiler license and solid knowledge of high pressure steam plant operations, with readiness to respond to emergencies and coordinate with staff and the public when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum 1st Class B State of Minnesota boiler license.
• Thorough knowledge of operation and maintenance of high pressure boilers, furnaces, and mechanical systems in a steam plant.

Responsibilities

• Operate Heating Plant to provide steam for the campus.
• Monitor the Energy Management System.
• Cover other stationary engineer shifts when vacations or sick leave are taken.
• Respond to emergency calls and coordinate with maintenance personnel as needed.
